Smart features
Careousel Advance GSM has the same important features as Careousel Advance, but is complemented by more smart features for added peace of mind and control. The device can send SMS messages to the user, relatives and/or healthcare professionals if medication is not taken on time. In addition, SMS is sent if the doses are running out or if something is wrong – for example, if the dosette is upside down or not placed correctly.
All settings are easily managed via an internet portal. At the touch of a button, the device downloads updated settings – quickly and easily, no matter where you are.
Careousel Advance series
Careousel Advance is the latest model in the Careousel range and includes several important improvements that increase both safety and ease of use.
For example, Advance has a unique and patented safety door that effectively prevents access to the wrong dose – a feature that reduces the risk of dosing errors and increases user safety. It is also more user-friendly for caregivers. It automatically switches to summer and winter time and can be programmed to activate or pause at preset times.
The audible signal has been improved and the reminder time has been extended – making it even easier for the user to follow their medication.
Self-locking security lid
Careousel Advance GSM works without any problems when traveling. Even if the dosette is upside down, it continues to remind at set times just as usual. However, it does not advance the dose until the device is correctly positioned and the next scheduled time has arrived – preventing accidental withdrawal during transportation.
For added security, Careousel has a self-locking safety cap that covers the opening in the lid. The user only has access to the current dose during the programmed time period. This patented feature prevents both double dosing and access to the dose that is in the open position when refilling.
If the medication is not taken within the preset time (5 minutes to 5 hours), the device automatically locks the safety cap.
